- 列夫·尼古拉耶维奇·托尔斯泰（1828-1910）：托尔斯泰是俄国最伟大的作家之一，出身贵族，1851年在高加索从军，曾参加克里米亚战争中的塞******托波尔之战，后据此写成《塞******托波尔故事》。同一时期他还创作了自传体三部曲《童年》、《少年》、《青年》以及《一个地主的早晨》等。他的长篇小说《战争与和平》和《安娜。卡列尼娜》通过历史事件、家庭关系以及地主和农民之间的矛盾，描绘了沙皇俄国的社会生活。19世纪70年代末到80年代初，托尔斯泰的世界观发生激变，转到宗法制农民立场上，对土地私有制表示强烈抗议。长篇小说《复活》对******、法庭、监狱、教会和土地私有制作了深刻批判。托尔斯泰一生的创作时期长达六十余年，他的作品一方面无情揭露沙皇制度和新兴资本主义势力的种种罪恶，一方面宣传对恶不抵抗，想以“自由平等的”小农社会来代替沙皇制度。他的作品对世界文学有重大影响。
